The Visual Meditations Gallery expresses “art as meditation and meditation as art” by Margaret Astrid Phanes, M.A., MFT.
In 1989, Visual Meditations were first exhibited and have continued to evolve. In 2007, at the All Universal Meeting (AUM), "Spheres of Influence,” a series of digital animations were presented. These concepts illustrated: the evolution of spirit in matter, the descent of higher consciousness and the transformation of the personality through soul awakening. In July, at the 2011 AUM, a series of slide animations was presented on the “Awakening of the Soul.” The presentation and exhibition were inspired by the aspiration of the “Fire of the Soul” or Agni Pavaka. The current web exhibit is based on that presentation.
Digital Collage combines digital imagery and illustration graphics. Digital Collage also incorporates multiple digital images as overlays with illustration graphics to offer a multi-layered view of themes such as centering and illumination, the Yogic force of Shakti and the consciousness of the next stage in human evolution.
Archive Art shows examples of the overall continuity and theme of "Conscious Design."
The design portfolio link includes: logos, cards, and presentations. In digital design, the initial concept can be produced in many forms and venues. The nature of digital media demonstrates an evolutionary process, all its own. Themes can come forward and return to express a more comprehensive work.
Visual Meditations are inspired by Integral Yoga & Yoga Psychology.
