CONCENTRATION MEDITATION
The Psychology of Yoga
Concentration Meditation was developed from the Psychology
of Yoga. Integral Yoga is a fourfold path: knowledge for the mind, devotion for the heart, works for the will, and transformation of
the whole nature.
Concentration Meditation increases awareness, contemplation
and self-reflection for inner growth and development. It also
brings forward an array of inner resources for skill and ease
in living. The fruits of meditation bring: knowledge, love, service
and integration into practice.
Concentration Meditation opens us up to our true Self and soul.
It directs consciousness inward for deepening and widening. “Meditation … is to come in touch with the Truth of one’s being,
and to live from one’s depth. Meditation and Concentration are
ways through which one can have an experience of one’s inmost reality and truth, and bring it forward to govern one’s life.”

Integral Yoga
Sri Aurobindo is the founder of Integral Yoga. One of the original founders of the Indian Independence Movement, Sri Aurobindo,
a nominee for the Nobel Prize in Literature, gave the world a
legacy of work that rivals Dante’s Divine Comedy. Sri Aurobindo
has the most beautiful and passionate passages about spiritual attainment and expansive conceptual thought on the evolution
and transformation of consciousness in Spirit and Matter.
