I have been a graphics software trainer for twenty years. Individual and group learning of graphics software includes digital imaging, illustration graphics and electronic publishing for print and web.
Although graphics software is full of linear learning, perceptual understanding can make the process easier and more meaningful. Pen tool, path and points, lines and shapes for vector graphics.
Using color, text and transformation to modify graphics.
Using templates with the Pen tool. Adding color options with blends and gradients. Constructing complex paths such as compound paths, clipping masks, and pathfinder.
InDesign
Understanding page and frame setup. Placing text and images in page layout. Formatting text with styles.
Dreamweaver
Learn the basics of web site definition and development. Design web content; images and text with navigation and links. Learn the power of content layouts with Cascading Style Sheets. Customize pre-designed layouts or create styled block content for consistent site wide design. Increase site functionality with added navigation menus and behaviors. Organize a site map and implement best practices for site optimization.
